American Youth Symphony audition requirements
American Youth Symphony asks string players to prepare a focused audition. Yes. An audition video is submitted with the application, and review is blind. There is no audition fee, and the orchestra is tuition-free. The fastest way to get your take to standard is to fix the passage holding it back, on the same five dimensions a panel listens for, before you ever hit submit.
Requirements, repertoire, and dates change every season and vary by instrument and ensemble. Always confirm the current, official requirements before you prepare: American Youth Symphony official audition page
