For Music Directors and Studio Teachers
Scored feedback on every take between lessons.
Your students record a practice take. A panel verdict across five audition dimensions comes back in sixty seconds. No proprietary software. No IT requirement. Works on any device with a microphone.
How it works
Panel-style audition scoring on every practice session.
Students record a short take on their own device and receive the same five-dimension verdict a real audition panel evaluates: with measure-level notes on exactly what to fix.
Step 1
Student records a take
They play an excerpt on violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Any phone, tablet, or computer with a microphone works. Nothing to install.
Step 2
Five-dimension verdict in sixty seconds
Intonation measured in cents, rhythm subdivision accuracy, tempo consistency, tone quality, and musicality. A written critique identifies which measures need attention and why.
Step 3
Practice teacher session on the take
After the verdict, a practice teacher works through the critique with the student and builds a plan for the next session. Available any hour, not just lesson day.
Between lessons
Students practice more when they have a score to chase.
A lesson covers one hour per week. The other six days of practice happen without any feedback on whether the student improved. Students who practice without scoring are guessing. Students who practice with a score target next time.
When a student arrives at the next lesson already knowing their intonation score improved 8 points on measures 12 to 16, you spend that lesson on refinement instead of re-diagnosis. That is the compounding effect of scored practice.
Diagnosis done before the lesson
Students know exactly which measures scored lowest before they walk in. The lesson starts at refinement, not at finding the problems.
Progress visible take to take
Intonation in cents, rhythm deviation, tone consistency: each metric accumulates so improvement is measurable, not just a feeling.
Costs less than one lesson per month
Private string instruction typically runs $80 to $150 per hour. Orchestra Kingdom is $19 per month for unlimited scored takes every day.
No setup required
Nothing for you to configure.
Directors and studio teachers recommend it. Students try it. No school accounts, no software licenses, no IT tickets.
Any device with a microphone.
Students use the phone already in their pocket or the laptop already on their desk. No dedicated recording hardware. No dedicated app. A web browser is the only requirement.
Students create their own accounts.
Each student signs up directly. There is no bulk enrollment, no roster import, and no school IT involvement. Recommending it is as simple as sharing the URL.
Free first three takes.
Every account starts with three free audition takes. No credit card required. A student can receive a full verdict before deciding whether to continue with a paid plan.
Try it on your own instrument first.
You can score your own take before recommending it to anyone. The free take is available at the link below and applies to your account the same as any student's.
The scoring panel
Five dimensions. Same ones your audition panel uses.
The Audition Simulator evaluates each take across the five dimensions that appear on every real audition rubric. The scoring applies uniformly across violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
Intonation
Measured in cents deviation from the target pitch. Not a gut feeling: a number that tracks from take to take.
Rhythm
Subdivision accuracy against the beat. Identifies which measures are rushing or dragging and by how much.
Tempo
Consistency across the excerpt and adherence to the target tempo. Flags accelerating or slowing passages specifically.
Tone
Bow contact quality and consistency. Identifies passages where tone breaks down and notes what to address.
Musicality
Phrasing shape and dynamic execution. The dimension that separates technically correct from musically convincing.
Written critique
A full written critique accompanies every score with measure-level notes: which measures need work and what to do there.
Common questions
What directors ask.
Does this require any special software or IT setup?
No. Students use any phone, tablet, or computer with a working microphone and a web browser. There is no app to install, no school account to provision, and no IT department involvement required. A student can try it in under two minutes on the same device they use for homework.
Which instruments does it support?
Violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Orchestra Kingdom is built specifically for orchestral string players. The five-dimension scoring panel applies uniformly across all four instruments.
What exactly does the Audition Simulator score measure?
Every take is scored across five dimensions: intonation (measured in cents deviation from the target pitch), rhythm (subdivision accuracy), tempo (consistency and target adherence), tone (bow contact quality and consistency), and musicality (phrasing and dynamic shape). A written critique accompanies the score with measure-level notes on what to fix. This is the same set of dimensions a real audition panel evaluates.
Can I try it myself before recommending it to students?
Yes. Every new account gets three free audition takes with no credit card required. You can record a take on your own instrument, see the full verdict, and decide whether the feedback quality meets your standard before saying a word to any student. The free-take flow is at orchestrakingdom.com/try.
How does this complement lessons rather than compete with them?
A lesson covers one session per week. The other six days of practice happen without a teacher present to evaluate the work. Orchestra Kingdom fills that gap: students get a scored verdict after every practice take, so they are not guessing whether they improved between lessons. When students arrive at the next lesson, they already know which measures scored lowest and have spent the week targeting those specifically. Lesson time becomes more productive because the diagnosis is already done.
Is there a cost for students?
The first three audition takes are free with no credit card required. After that, a subscription is $19 per month. Students can also use the free takes and then decide whether to continue.
Can I see my students' progress?
Students own their own accounts and their own score history. A student can share their audition report with a director or teacher directly from the verdict screen. There is no director-level dashboard that aggregates multiple students in a single view at this time. Each student's score history is visible to them and anyone they choose to share it with.
What happens to the audio recordings?
Audio recordings are processed to generate the score and written critique, then deleted within 30 days. Student audio is not shared with third parties, not sold, and not retained for advertising or model training. There are no ads and no social feed.
Is it appropriate for younger students?
Students under 13 are required to have a parent or guardian complete a consent step at account creation. That requirement is enforced and cannot be bypassed. Students 13 and older can create an account independently. If you are recommending it to younger students, they will need a parent to complete the signup with them.
